Hope in Uncertainty

All we ever hear these days during the COVID-19 pandemic is bad news, rarely ever positive messages. So I want to share a vision I have for the months to come, for anyone who might feel hopeless about this situation. A message that just might save a life.

As soon as the pandemic is over, we will emerge stronger than ever. I was looking at a book I had in my personal library called Atlanta Impressions by Robb Helfrick and it was a reminder of the good in the world. To me, it was a sign that one day things will be at peace again; but maybe we will be more aware of what’s going on in the world. Yes, the cases are surging but medical professionals are doing everything they can to find a cure for the virus. The best thing we (as citizens) can do is distance ourselves and wait it out. For some people this is hard, because we are wired to be social. So here is a dream for those who need it:

Atlanta from the Ashes, a symbol of rising from destruction not as a state or nation, but as a world

For those of you who planned to study abroad this summer, you will get that chance again and many more.

Those who want to be with their family/friends and love on them, you will be reunited and embrace those with more love than you ever had.

To any business, you’re money and business will return. It may take a while to get back on your feet, but you’ll make it.

This may take a long period of time or it may not, but we will step into the sunlight again and in good health in all aspects of life. It may seem dark and rainy right now, but we must carry on to better days.

The future is uncertain, but we will survive. Things will be different, but we have to have hope that a new normal will keep us all safe.

Look for better days ahead and take each day as it is.
